Charlotte sneaks away from the group and changes her costume. Meanwhile, Jake, Danny and Georgie realize she is missing. Jake thinks he sees Charlotte in her new costume and sends Danny and Georgie off in the other direction while he attempts to follow her. Danny and Georgie head back to Valentin and tell him what's going on.
When she learns he’s still in the office, she says she’s coming over and has something for him to see. Georgie and Danny find Valentin and tell him Charlotte slipped off, and Jake has gone looking for her. Danny explains Jake thought he saw her, but it was someone dressed up like the Hermit. Georgie says Jake told them that was supposed to be her original costume.
It has now been confirmed that Amelie McLain is now playing the role of Valentin and Lulu's daughter. In the story, Charlotte and Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) visit Lulu (last played by Emme Rylan) at the rehabilitation facility where she’s been placed while remaining in a coma. During thier visit, Charlotte shared updates on what’s happening in Port Charles with her mother, hoping to inspire Lulu to wake up.

The staff were also very friendly and ready to assist with our needs. It was also close to the highway and in a convenient location. Although there were many guests, it was thankfully quiet. Photos show the "Up" house, home to the fictional Carl Fredricksen and his late wife Ellie, brought to life with photos of the couple and just like in the movie, held up by 8,000 balloons among the red rocks of Abiquiu, New Mexico. All three parts of The House have their nightmarish aspects, often literally, as reality shifts around the characters, or ordinary objects are imbued with dread. In spite of the furry characters in the second two stories and the child protagonist in the first, this anthology isn’t meant for children. It isn’t violent or sexual, the usual signs of “not for children” fare, but its focus on unnerving the audience and unmooring the characters from reality makes it a more adult saga than most stop-motion projects. Maybe it isn’t saying much to note that Netflix’s stop-motion film The House features the most disturbing, skin-crawling, stomach-flipping vermin-based musical number since the 2019 CG-fest Cats. But it should count for something that this collection of three weird animated stories is so capable of unnerving an audience with something so gleeful and playful.

Like the first two chapters, the final story centers on a single-minded striver obsessed with her house, and watching her ambitions deflate around her. But where the first story is chilling and the second one is saddening, the third has other ambitions that make the whole project fall more clearly into place. All three parts were scripted by Irish playwright and screenwriter Enda Walsh (best known for 2008’s gutting historical film Hunger, directed by Steve McQueen and starring Michael Fassbender). And while Walsh’s scripts don’t initially seem to take place in the same world or have much in common, apart from the house’s layout, this third segment brings all three into focus. The third and final story of The House, directed by Paloma Baeza, ends, thankfully, on a more uplifting note. A landlady named Rosa (voiced by Susan Wokoma) is determined to pursue her life-long dream of fixing up a crumbling but beautiful Victorian home, despite the fact that a devastating flood has driven away almost all of her residents.
Each tale—which, while animated, are dark and creepy and morbid and decidedly not for young children—centers on a different house. The houses are beacons of corruption, objects of scams, and symbols of thwarted dreams. The protagonists move into them, out of them, fix them up, tear them down, and ride them off into the sunset. And with all three houses come lessons about materialism, about deception, and about letting go. Here, Ferrell and Poehler—fellow former “Saturday Night Live” cast members who also co-starred in “Blades of Glory”—barely seem to know each other, much less enjoy any sort of chemistry.
When the sisters finally reunite with their parents, they find Raymond and Penny turned into furniture—Raymond into a chair and Penny into curtains. Using the curtains to climb out a window while their parents burn alive, Mabel and Isobel escape before watching the smoking house from a distance as the sun rises. A young girl named Mabel lives with her father Raymond, mother Penny, and newborn sister Isobel in relative poverty.
At his wit's end, the developer tries to use the boric acid on the couple, but he inhales a mouthful and faints. The couple picks the developer up from the hospital and brings him home, where their family welcomes him back, many of them now sporting additional limbs. The final scene shows the family ravaging the inside of the house—climbing up the walls and chewing through everything. The developer, having regressed to animal-like intelligence, briefly emerges from the remains of the oven to eat garbage before retreating underground.

He tries to call the police, who instead caution him for his constant, overly familiar phone calls to his dentist, who the film had led the audience to believe was his romantic partner. The dentist is also ready to take the developer to court if he telephones him again.

When one of Jen’s mystical friends named Cosmos (Paul Kaye) comes to visit, Jen is shown that it’s time to let go of the house, but she stubbornly wants to stay put. The segment’s messaging about what makes a house into a home is simple enough, and so is the obvious horror-story progression of the plot. But Belgian directors Emma de Swaef and Marc James Roels tell their story with eerie, effective touches.

The audience for that message may be a little limited, much like the audience for a collection of stories this dark and (in two cases) cynical. But the craft of The House itself should be enough of a lure to draw people in. Viewers may be put off by that nauseating parasite musical routine, with its singing, dancing creepy-crawlies and their grotesque enthusiasm. But it’s hard not to appreciate the sheer amount of work that went into crafting this threefold fever dream, and the directors’ effectiveness at creating such instantly believable fantasy worlds. They set out to make these stories vividly oppressive and claustrophobic, and they certainly succeeded.

The family is quickly seduced by the extravagant amenities—the food that appears on massive dining room table, the electricity that provides full illumination. But young daughter Mabel (Mia Goth) has more trepidation, as she starts to witness the stranger aspects of its construction, like the zombified workers, who toil in the darkness, and suddenly take away the staircase at night. Things get even stranger, and more visually striking, when the parents are gifted clothes that look a lot like pieces to an ornate couch. It’s an effectively spooky short, one that gets a great deal of intrigue out what is unfolding in the shadows, prefacing the house as a nonsensical trap. The third story had the most hope, even though it describes a very plausible environmental disaster. It’s not a coincidence that it has the most complete story and the best performances.

The only catch, that they are aware of at least, is that they must give up their current home. Raymond jumps the opportunity as a means of status, to have the nicest house in the area, and make others jealous. “The House” is an animated anthology with an inspired narrative focus, as it tells the history of one building, across time and species. With its rising directors each employing a surreal style, it creates a rich balance of ethereal, existential storytelling with stop-motion animation that’s so detailed and alive you can practically feel it on your fingertips. The House also features some of the best-looking stop-motion animation you’ll see outside of a Laika film. The final story, meanwhile, is more ethereal, with foggy backdrops that signal something approaching the end of the world.

The Developer’s war against the beetles is laced with irony and inevitability, but there’s no particular sense that he invited it. The things that happen to him aren’t rectifying some cosmic wrong, or laying out some important theme for the viewer. It’s meant to be mordantly funny to watch his exasperation as events escalate and his life falls apart, but viewers with empathy — or an aversion to maggots — may want to skip this one. Back home, Frank convinces the Johansens to start an underground casino at his house to raise money for Alex's tuition and to help him get his wife back. The casino operation proves to be running smoothly as they gain more customers. In another community town-hall meeting, Bob becomes suspicious at the low attendance and suspends the meeting to launch an investigation.
Encouraged by Jen, Cosmos, and a returning Elias, Rosa takes control of the house ship, escaping as the floods destroy the surrounding foundations, and the four sail out into the ocean. When Jen's "spirit partner" Cosmos (a craftsman) arrives to visit, Rosa enlists him to work on the house; but is infuriated to find out he has instead been tearing up the house's floorboards to build a boat for Elias. As Cosmos continues to refit the house against Rosa's wishes, Rosa argues with Elias; hurt that he wishes to leave, while he accuses her of being afraid to do the same. In the action-packed fight film, Patel plays Kid, a young man who avenges his mother’s death at the hands of corrupt law enforcement. Rosa, the landlord who cherishes the memories of her days growing up in the house, dreams of restoring it to its former glory. However, she struggles financially; and her only tenants, fisherman Elias and hippie Jen, do not pay rent despite her insistence; she consistently ignores their attempts to address the rising water. The story is set in a world populated by anthropomorphic rats, and the house is now settled in a developed city street and about to go up for sale. The developer renovating the house recently laid off his entire construction crew to reduce costs and must do all the work himself.
Airbnb is offering customers an opportunity to stay in famous homes and places such as a re-creation of the "Up" house from Pixar's 2009 animated movie. Every so often while watching The House, a new stop-motion film on Netflix, I would remember that every single frame had been meticulously set up and photographed, and my mind would be blown all over again. Pictures, received negative reviews from critics[3] and flopped at the box office, grossing $34 million worldwide against its $40 million budget. As the water and mist continue to seep into the house and Jen prepares to leave the house with Cosmos, she puts Rosa into a dream-like trance, in which Rosa sees the house destroyed and her friends abandoning her. Emerging from the vision, she sees Jen and Cosmos sailing away, calling for her to join them; but the boat is too far away. Remembering a large lever Cosmos had built, she pushes it, transforming the house into a seaworthy vessel.
What’s most interesting about The House is how each story offers a different riff on this theme. The first two chapters lean into being creepy, particularly their unsettling endings, but while the first is more of a slow-building dread, the second is much more tangible. Meanwhile, the final chapter, despite starting out quite bleak, ends on a surprisingly hopeful note. Jump to the last chapter, by Paloma Baeza, and the world has gotten even more chaotic but quieter.

Chandler convinces Bob that the three continued the casino even after he had ordered them to stop, and shows a video of the people mocking him. Bob asks Chandler to go with him to arrest the Johansens at the casino, which gives the Johansens the chance to steal their money back. Dawn Mayweather, the town treasurer, alerts Bob that the Johansens are in the town hall, which convinces Bob to go back.
